ABOUT ME
Rachel Williams, DPT
Hi, I’m Rachel, a pediatric physical therapist with over 17 years of experience specializing in infant and early childhood development. My passion lies in helping babies move and grow with confidence—from their very first days through those early milestones.
Over the years, I’ve pursued extensive continuing education in areas that matter most to families, including torticollis, plagiocephaly, craniosacral fascial therapy, and tethered oral tissues. My approach is rooted in gentle, tear-free, hands-on techniques that prioritize both your baby’s comfort and developmental needs.
I believe that physical therapy for infants isn’t just for when something is “wrong.” Early support can help your baby build strong motor foundations and thrive in their development. In every session, I focus on empowering parents with simple, practical ways to support their baby at home—because your confidence matters just as much as theirs.
As a mom of two boys, I understand firsthand the joys and challenges of early parenting. My goal is to walk alongside you with empathy, support, and expert care, helping both you and your baby feel seen, supported, and encouraged every step of the way.
What to expect at the first visit:
All sessions take place in the comfort of your home or a location that works best for you. During the first evaluation, I begin by sitting down with you to discuss your concerns, your child’s history, and any questions you may have. I then gently assess your baby’s movement through play-based observation and hands-on techniques tailored to their age and needs. You'll leave the session with personalized activities and suggestions to help support your baby’s development right away. For babies under 4 months, there’s no need to worry about being “ready”—we follow your baby’s schedule, take breaks for feeding or soothing, and even begin while they’re sleeping if needed. My goal is to create a relaxed, baby-led environment that supports both your child and your confidence as a parent.
